Obituary
Guy Pollard
Jan 11, 1947 - Dec 3, 2023

Guy Pollard, 76, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

His friends knew him as Arthur, that was his father's middle name. He never liked the name Guy, but to us, he was Uncle Guy. Guy was a wanderer, a sage and a seeker with a free spirit. Guy had a million different things he was interested in and did throughout his life - Planting trees, restoring furniture, making jewelry, leatherwork, EMT, his local arthouse movie theatre, part time nude model, musician, traveling and sleeping in his suburban, taming his beloved half wolf dog - Caleb, biking, well, the list just goes on.

He is survived by his great nephew - Kyle Swip, and his nieces and nephew - Rob Pollard and his wife Letha, Rebecca Swip and her husband Joe and Maria Pollard as well as his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pollard. He was proceeded in death by his Father - James Arthur Pollard, Mother - Audrey Lucille Frantz Pollard Siebe, and his brother - Craig Allen Pollard.

He was a man from a different era; he never really left the 60's and the 70's. He was a polymath and never, ever stopped learning. He believed a life well lived was full of things that would exercise his mind as well as his body.
