Supporting Your Local Community
There is a lot happening around the world right now, so a lot is changing around the District in Downtown Columbia and we want to make sure that you are always in the know! Thank you for supporting local businesses and shopping local CoMo, we hope that you continue this support while social distancing and staying safe, here is how…
Curbside Take Out
Our local restaurants tend to pride themselves on their cleanliness year around and are taking extra measures to keep you safe. Many of our restaurants are offering curbside takeout and delivery options so you don’t even have to get out of our car or house to get your favorite meals! Dining rooms that are still open have very limited capacity, check your options online first if you are heading in.
Order Online or Over the Phone
Similar to restaurants, our retailers are getting creative on how to take care of you and also stay safe. Many of them already offered online shopping and are currently adding all their products to their online stores. Others are sharing their products on their websites and social media with the option to call in an order to be delivered to your house or picked up curbside.
Buy a Gift Card
Purchasing a gift card right now can help small businesses hang on until the end of social distancing and self-quarantines. Many of these can also be purchased over the phone or online.
Share Their Social Media
This is a great way to show your love for your favorite local businesses year-around, but is extra appreciated now! Share their posts on your favorite social platforms and share your favorite products from them. Don’t forget to tag them and leave glowing reviews!
Pay With Plastic
It is no secret, cold, hard cash spreads germs. We know this even when there is not major illness going around. Keep our local businesses and their employees safe by paying with your card when possible.
Be Understanding of Their Decisions
This is a difficult time for everyone right now. People have been put in the position to make choices that they wish they did not have to think about. Please be kind and as understanding as possible.
Stay Informed, Stay Safe
Stay up to date on the COVID-19 situation with credible sources like the CDC. Practice social distancing to keep yourself and those around you safe. If you or anyone around you feels sick or is sick, please stay home.
Get Creative and Show Love
There are endless possibilities to showing love to your local community and supporting your local economy! Share your ideas with us and your loved ones!
We have lists that are constantly being updated in the “News” section of our website that will tell you who is doing what and where you can go, get curbside takeout, and delivery from!
