The Downtown Optimist Club’s Mid MO Soap Box Derby is planned for this year on Sunday, June 8, 2025.  In the event of severe weather (we run in the rain IF no lightning), we will move this event to one week later on Sunday, June 15th. 

The first derby in Columbia was in 1938, and today our derby ranks among the largest in the greater MidWest.
