The Blue Note

Yes, this beautifully renovated, historic theatre is available for event rentals! From weddings, holiday parties, and corporate events, complete with projected presentations, we do it all!

We have a full bar, a big film screen and projector, tables and chairs, and the best sound system in town. With an event maximum capacity of 500, The Blue Note offers a versatile, multi-purpose space that can be modified to suit any theme, with a tiered main floor, an upper balcony with opera boxes, and, of course, our elevated stage area under the decorative proscenium arch.

Our rental fees vary quite a bit based on the time of year, day of week, hours of rental, bar arrangements, and production needs.

Missouri Theatre

In the heart of downtown, Columbia, MO, the Missouri Theatre offers something for everyone: film festivals, concerts, nationally-known artists, dance parties & more. On the National Register of Historic Places, Missouri Theatre is one of central Missouri's only remaining pre-Depression era movie palace and vaudeville stage. Built in 1928, the theater's interior is an ornate baroque and rococo style of the Louis XIV and XV periods. Designed by the Boller Brothers Architects of Kansas City, the theater is modeled after the Paris Opera House. Much of the original detailing survives, including the Belgian marble wainscoting, plaster reliefs, stained glass art panels under the balcony and an 1,800-pound Italian chandelier featuring crystal prisms and etched panels.

Rose Music Hall

Live music venue in downtown Columbia. Featuring an indoor stage, outdoor stage, park stocked with yard games (Rose Park), and a giant patio. Between our indoor space, huge patio and absolutely beautiful park, you could have an amazing large scale event. Our indoor space has an event capacity of about 150, but combine it with our outdoor space and we could host a party of almost 1,000 people.

Inside we’ve got a full bar, elevated stage area, pub tables and chairs, sound system, we even have a kitchen. Outdoor tables and chairs are abundant!

Sager Reeves Gallery

Sager Reeves Gallery exhibits original artwork by living artists and midcentury masters, helping both budding and established art buyers build valuable and meaningful collections. Sager Reeves Gallery serves as a beautiful event space for an intimate wedding ceremony or reception, cocktail party, sit-down dinner, or any special occasion. A charmingly rustic, refurbished interior adorned with the artwork of rotating exhibits is a backdrop that needs little additional decoration. Exhibits change monthly and feature the original artwork of acclaimed artists from around the world. From 50-person seated events to 250-person standing receptions to walk-through silent auctions, we accommodate your vision with reasonably priced, all-inclusive rental packages.

The gallery is located in the heart of Columbia, Missouri’s North Village Arts District, a convenient, downtown location with accessible parking and nearby top-notch lodging. Our base rental fee includes up to 3 hours of event time, set-up and clean-up time, as well as supplies such as tables, chairs, caterer’s coolers, and industrial ice machine, minimizing your need to rent additional items from 3rd-party vendors. A gallery staff person attends all events, ensuring everything goes smoothly. We gladly recommend a caterer, florist, photographer, and/or event planner when it’s helpful.

State Historical Society of Missouri

The State Historical Society’s Center for Missouri Studies offers meeting and event spaces. The Sam B. Cook Hall, the John K. Hulston Lobby, the Sam F. and June S. Hamra Family Classroom, the Plassmeyer Family Classroom, and the Francis W. “Bud” Barnes Boardroom are all available for reservation. Come in for a tour, and make plans for a great event!
