How do our giftcards work?
Purchase
Purchase your Gift Card in any amount you desire. The card will be sent to you in the mail shortly after purchase. You can use the card yourself, or gift it to an individual.
Redeem
Redeem the Gift Card at any of the participating businesses in The District, Downtown CID. Note, new businesses are frequently added, please check back often to discover new local gems.
Enjoy

Gift Cards may be bought online here and will be shipped to you or at The District offices, 11 S 10th St, Columbia, Mo. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-4 pm. Or call (573) 442-6816 for an appointment.

The Downtown Columbia Gift Card is for in-person purchases at currently participating businesses. Click here to see a list of currently participating businesses. The list is always growing, so be sure to check back often.

To check your balance, go to www.getmybalance.com. Enter the 16-digit card number on the back of the Gift Card and enter your 6-digit Security Code, then click Check Balance. You can also check the balance, by phoning the toll-free number on the back of the card.

Yes! Ask the participating business to split the purchase. First, let them know your available balance and ask them to only authorize the available balance. Then, ask them to cover the balance of your purchase with another method of payment.

No. The funds on the Gift Card do not expire. Note: we are not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

No, there are no fees charged to Gift Card holders or participating Downtown Columbia businesses.

No, the Gift Card can only be used for in-person purchases.

The Downtown Columbia program is designed for consumer-facing businesses that are open to the public and provide products & services that would generally be considered as gifts. Eligible participating businesses include restaurants, bars, arts & cultural venues, cafes, retail, spas & personal care services (non-medical), and health & fitness centers (non-medical). If your business is located within The District, Downtown CID borders, please contact us at info@discoverthedistrict.com for sign-up forms.
