This special, two-day event will take place the first Friday and Saturday of December and feature twelve, fabulous Columbia-based artists, baked goods, and more. The gallery will be open Friday, December 1st 6-9pm and Saturday, December 2nd, 12-3pm and will feature an array of affordable and gift-able works. This show marks stop-gap projects two-year anniversary and we look forward to celebrating with our community!
Close to Home will showcase works by artists Bethanie Irons, Sarah Arriagada, Colleen Smith, Julie Bonifay, Martin Pope, Erin Potter, Nick Potter, Connor Frew, Igor Arume, Emilly Koonse, Abigail Newman, and Liz Oeftering. The exhibition will feature a range of media, including paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, zines, and weavings, all at an affordable price range of $5-$200. The exhibition will be a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, find unique gifts, and support your city's local artists this holiday season. And for those who want to start the festive season off with a sweet treat, Kevin Trieu will have baked goods for sale on both Friday and Saturday.
This show also marks stop-gap projects’ two-year anniversary! To celebrate, we’re bringing together our artist friends from near and far and compiling portfolios of small, collectable works. These “artist stockings” will hold an eclectic assortment of drawings, prints, photos, and art- objects from an impressive roster of artists (listed below). The stockings will be on display and available for just $25 during the pop-up show, with Patreon subscribers receiving 50% off. Come get a stocking, discover new artists, grow your art collection, and support the future of stop-gap projects!
