About Crooked Fix: Crooked Fix weaves together the atmosphere and oddities of psychedelia, intimacy and honesty of indie music, and intricacies of progressive rock and funk with a quirky gravitas. Hailing from Columbia, Missouri, the indie-rock quartet formed in the tired and waning days nearing the end of summer 2016. Crooked Fix takes their audiences to the same Midwestern summers that inspired the band’s formation - a dreamy retelling of the words of those formerly acquainted, and times just beyond a hazy memory.
About Mickey Jamieson & the Close Encounters:
Subtle threads of psychedelia stitch Brooklyn-based Mickey Jamieson’s brand of progressive pop music together; a patchwork quilt that draws from jazz, math rock, and progressive rock, while maintaining a strong pop sensibility. An engineer and producer, Jamieson's knack for experimentation and technical edge when in the studio allows for the complex and catchy to coexist under his misty falsetto. Supported by his band, Close Encounters, Jamieson tells tales of dreams of being lost in a jade forest, desire to recapture rosy nostalgia that never truly existed, and the struggle to find meaning in a constantly shifting world.
About Free Vice: Formed by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Elias Finn, Free Vice is a musicians collective based in Columbia, MO. They are dedicated to giving musicians a platform to play unrestricted, and often feature a diverse, interchangeable lineup of Columbia’s most dynamic musicians, writers, and visual artists. The amalgamation of artists and musicians blurs the lines between free jazz, rock, psychedelia, and jam music, with songs that morph forms and energy - not only changing with every show, but evolving as each show progresses.
