Todd Haynes’ experimental music biography of American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan weaves together 6 actors–Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Marcus Carl Franklin, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger, and Ben Whishaw–who represent Dylan’s chameleonic personal and musical evolution. A rare repertory screening, I’m Not There brings audiences into the multiple universes and personas that an artist can inhabit. This screening will be preceded by an extended introduction from Robert Greene, Producer and Editor of Pavements and Filmmaker-in-Chief at the Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism.
