SHOW ME: Framing Agnes at Ragtag

Agnes Torres elected to participate in a study at UCLA in the early-1960s, subsequently becoming the first major figurehead of trans history. Utilizing research and reenactment, filmmaker Chase Joynt widens the frame through which we view history.

This is an entirely FREE event as part of Ragtag's monthly Show Me Series and includes a community conversation following the film. Panelists TBA!

This Show Me Series screening is co-hosted and co-curated by Ragtag Film Society's Community Partner, The Center Project. The Center Project is Mid-Missouri's LGBTQIA+ community center. Their mission is to provide a safe, affirming space to grow, build community, and access support and resources.

Free tickets will be available first-come, first-served starting at 12pm on Thursday, 6/29 at the Ragtag Box Office (10 Hitt Street).
